Things aren't always what they seem..

Surrealism best describes today's lesson for me. It looks like one thing but if you look closer, or at it from a different angle, or even catch it on a different day, week, month or year, it can be something totally different.

Such is life. Every day is a different day and that goes the same for people in general. People change, morph, grow and do so based on experience, time, and changes in life. It's natural. Sometimes change can be hard to accept but in the long run you can always find a good lesson learned from said change or an eventful experience to discuss later on in life.

Example: Growing up you might have thought of your parents as superior beings, untouchable, super human, hero's maybe but as you have gotten older you come to realize that they are not as perfect as you've always perceived them. It's ok.

Sometimes lack of perception in regards to a certain person can be a bad thing. Perhaps you believed a friend to be true, honest, loyal, and trustworthy and they do something to betray you. You may be disappointed but you learned something from the experience, right?

People, things, and life aren't always what they seem but just remember, just because it may not be what you would do, say, act, or be, doesn't mean it's a bad thing..just as long as one is happy.

Surrealism in art is my FAVORITE all time style, it says so much and yet speaks so differently to everyone.

Accept growth, learn from change.

  1. I love listening to I song I loved in high school, or whenever back in the day, and then hearing the words now meaning something completely different to me now. Or even realizing the true meaning of a song bc I was too young at the time to really understand it. Also, Ani DiFranco's music I love how whereever I am in life there is a song by her that seems to have been written just for me at that moment in my life. Like I've heard it 1000 times but today I really hear the words. Stuff like that...
